Knitting project

Senior pupils are looking for any volunteers to knit chicks for their senior enterprise college course. Completed chicks can  be sent into school by Wednesday the 20th of March. Any help would be much appreciated. #enterprise

Give Me BSL Signing Day

Give Me BSL Signing Day – Family Celebration Day

Diane Morton, works  for Glasgow BDA and runs “Give Me BSL”.  They have a family event coming up on the 2nd March in Motherwell. This will be held in Amazonia, at M&D’s theme park.

There will be lots of little animals to see like monkeys, birds, snakes, creepy crawlies and tarantulas.

There will be a BSL tour for parents and children, and also a visit to the handling room where you’ll be able to meet and touch the some of the animals. When the event is  finished, lunch which will be provided.

In the afternoon, parents will stay for a discussion on education, and children will head off for some fun at ten pin bowling. Parents and children will meet up again at the end of the day.

For all our IMS families….any pupil who may have received a new tablet device, computer or phone – reminder that they can download Microsoft Office 2016 for free using their Glow log in.

Glow Users can now download for free the Microsoft Office 2016 apps on up to 15 personal devices; up to 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets (Windows, iPad and Android)

A major retail company have developed an easy dressing range for children who have additional support needs, sensory issues or perhaps had surgery.

This new range of clothes have  discreet pockets for feeding tubes, uses the softest materials, the fewest seams possible and hidden care labels that won’t irritate sensitive skin which is particular important for children with sensory issues.
