Thank you to everyone who attended the AAC@IMS Communication Club last night.
It was a fun evening learning how to use ALDs ( aided language displays) to support our story during modelling PODD and reading books.
Our AAC@IMS Communication club will take place on Tuesday 11th October from 6:30 -8:30pm.
We look forward to seeing everyone, siblings are welcome to attend.

Class Staffa used PODD books during creative writing and story telling activity this morning.
Each pupil had to choose a character, animal, problem, how to fix it and how do they feel.
With support from class staff they were able to compose a story and then write it down.
Everyone listened to Mrs McEwan as she read out all the stories.

This morning some our new parents of P1 pupils attended an introduction to PECS workshop. This was supported by Mrs Simpson and Miss McKay who are our PECS champions in the school.
We will be holding monthly workshops and will update you very soon with dates.
Following the feedback from last session we are delighted to confirm that the AAC @ IMS Communication Club will continue this session.

This event is for anyone working/caring for people on the Autistic Spectrum including parents, carers, teachers, pupil
support assistants and Speech and Language Therapists.
