Class Staffa visited Glasgow City Mission this morning to deliver our harvest collection.
Many thanks to Graham Stephen who met and talked with the class, explaining all about how the donations help others less fortunate.
During the discussion the pupils all told Graham what they brought in for our Harvest table. Holly told everyone she brought bananas.
Michael from ERDA (East Renfrewshire Disability Action) is spending some time with our senior classes up at Woodfarm High School.
Michael is going to be discussing his post school experiences, have a question and answer session with the pupils and then talk a little about hate crime week and how we can engage with that.
Jamie had a Halloween party at home and invited some of his friends from class Cumbrae.
Have a look at the wonderful Halloween costumes made for Jamie and adapted for his wheelchair.
Mrs Laurie’s ISS@IMS groups baked and decorated Class Arran for a wonderful Halloween Party, as part of their Enterprise work for the Personal Achievement Award at N2.
The party was thoroughly enjoyed by class Arran and class Bute pupils.
The school Kitchen staff joined in and Head teacher, Mrs Clark judged the Scary Witch competition. The winner was Brian Smith, Warlock and Music therapist!!!
Well done to all!
Parents’ Evening will take place on Thursday 3rd November.

Here is an updated link to the “Make Your Dreams Come True”, Lochgoilhead 2016 footage as it was sticking near the end of the footage.
You will be able to hear some of the high points of the weekend from the students and buddies.
Thank You to Miss Philo and class Islay for organising our “Go Green for Halloween Disco” this afternoon.
We started off with the primary disco and then the senior pupils took to the dance floor, great fun had by everyone.
Prizes were awarded to the best fancy dress and we had some really good ideas this year.
Mr Holmes as usual entertained everyone with his dance moves.
Mrs Clark was even escorted out of the disco for her “bad” dance moves………..
Pupils and staff dressed up in green today for “Go Green for Halloween” to support NSPCC charity.
We had some activities organised by class Islay to raise money for NSPCC. The sensory challenge box was a particular favourite and the chocolate dipped popcorn and apples went down a treat.
Brogan helped out at the creative corner and encouraged her friends to create a Halloween picture.
Go Green for Halloween on Monday morning.
There will be stalls in aid of NSPCC. Pupils can bring pocket money to buy some Halloween items.
We hope you can manage along for some Halloween fun organised by Miss Philo and class Islay.
Rachel, Amy and William were so excited to be out on Work Experience this morning at Crookfur Cottages.
They spent some time with the staff, learning skills for life and work
and volunteering in the café.
Some of the duties included setting up cutlery, clearing and
wiping tables, handing out menus and chatting to customers.
Thank You to everyone who attended our Harvest Service this morning.
We appreciate all your harvest contributions and these will be handed over to Glasgow City Mission to support the work they do.
Here is the link to one of the Harvest songs that the pupils enjoyed this morning.
Join us for our Harvest Service this morning at 10:30am in the main school.

Thank you to everyone who took apart in our empty classroom day to inspire learning and play outside.
Every class took part throughout the day and we had
various activities planned. We had football training with Ross from
Giffnock Soccer Club, bug hunting, fire pit and loads more.
Thankfully the sun was shining and we all explored our
outdoor environment, learning and having fun at the same time.
