We have been learning about how alcohol can impact our bodies in different ways. We have been creating TV adverts to show what we have learnt.
Pythagoras have been working on complementary and supplementary angles. To find the complement of an angle you need to start at 90 degrees and subtract the angle you have to find the missing angle. We enjoyed doing a treasure hunt in the class about this.
Euler have been working on division and have started to look at word problems.
Turing have been learning about compass points, directions and have been continuing to work on building confidence with division.
In PE we have been learning more about rugby and have been increasing our skills so we are more confident at throwing and catching a rugby ball, passing, tackling and scoring tries. We have been playing non-contact rugby with bibs tucked into our shorts. It’s been great fun!
This week we finished our Queen Victoria posters and have started to learn about the industrial revolution. We were looking at different sources of information to find out what life what have been like back then. It was a very hard time for a lot of people during this time as they were very poor, their jobs were awful and there was only one toilet in the whole street! The houses were very small, lots of families would share one room. Next week we will be doing our famous Victorians/inventions solo talks to the class. We are looking forward to sharing what we have learned with each other.
In writing we were creating Bonfire Night poems using AABB rhyming pattern and trying to use onomatopoeia. They were great!
