11.10.19 P5b

We now have four digital leaders in our class who will be able to help us with all IT work.

Pythagoras have been learning about converting weight. We have been working on word problems which are tricky. We are working hard to try and decide which operation to use to solve the problem.

Turing have been working on dividing and are becoming more confident using multiplication squares to help.

Newton have been learning about symmetry and have created symmetrical patterns. We have all been working on questions in Sumdog to help with our rapid recall.

Euler have been learning about converting lengths. We are working on key vocabulary to help us work out if we need to add, subtract, multiply or divide.

We were learning about the street artist Keith Haring in Art. He used bold colours, black outlines and movement lines to create different pieces of art. We had fun creating our own.

This week we have been reflecting on our writing. We had to look back at what we have done so far in P5 and pick out pieces of writing which show our use of VCOP. We spoke about what we were most proud of and have created targets for next term.

In Science we were learning about the Great Pacific Garbage Patch and how much litter and plastic is in it. We have been researching solutions to the plastic pollution with our partners and have created slides on our Google Classroom. We can’t wait to present them and tell everyone about the work that is going on the try and solve this problem. This will help us with our Mission 2030 aim about creating sustainable living.

In French we have been learning how to say I like, I don’t like, I hate and I love.
