Mr Atkinson’s Comment

Well done to everybody in P6B for an excellent week! I continue to be impressed with all the Google Classroom submitted work and activities some of the P6B pupils have been doing in the local ‘hub’. It was great to see some of you on Wednesday at the ‘hub’ and hear what you have been up to. My top contributors for the week are: Harry and Boyd, well done! In addition, congratulations to Rachel, Dhruv and Austin for being nominated at the achievement assembly. This week I asked some of the boys and girls of P6B to write about their week for the class blog. Thank you again for sharing your experiences of home learning and the virtual classroom.

Dhruv

“This week has been a lot of fun. For science I had a great time learning about gears on a website and doing an experiment from Glasgow Science Centre. For HWB I decided to be a good help and cleaned the house with my mum. I have also enjoyed listening to the daily Millions chapter that gets read by the P6 teachers.”

“This week I really enjoyed writing because we got to write our own Fairtrade recipe. I decided to do a recipe for Fairtrade chocolate truffles. We were going to make them but we didn’t have the right Fairtrade ingredients. We also did comprehension on Stormbreaker and I couldn’t stop reading chapter four because it got so interesting. When I finished my work I FaceTimed my family. Today I am doing a reading task on Stormbreaker. I’m doing a character profile on Alex.”

“This week I enjoyed comprehension as I am really enjoying the book and I want to watch the film too as I searched online and found out there was one. We are going to rent it online this weekend and watch it as a family. The Fairtrade recipe was good too as I am enjoying baking with my Mum.”
