This week in P.3 we went to the Glasgow Royal Concert hall to see Celtic Connections. They played Scottish music and used bagpipes, guitars, a violin, an acordian, a fiddle and drums. I really liked it because the music was so great and I just couldn’t resisit dancing! (Calum D)
We have also been leanring about Robert Burns. He is a famous Scottish poet and creates lots of songs aswell. He was born on the 25th January 1759 and that is why we celebtrate Burns day/night. (Yvie)
We talked about a Burns supper which is when you have haggis, neeps and tatties which is a traditional Scottish meal and you sing the poems and songs that Robert Burns made up. There is also an Adddress to a Haggis which is when you talk to the haggis. (Calum S)
In maths, we were leanring how to sequence numbers and fill in missing numbers. First you would look for 2 numbers that are beside each other and then try to work out how many you get until you reach the next number. Then you would use that to work out the other number. We were also leaerning about times tables that is when you double thigns for your 2x table or you make groups or sets. (Naomi)
In maths, we played a game where we had to make number stories (2 add and 2 subtract) to get to the other side. You had to go in zig zags and whoever got to the black first won. (Farhan & Ava)
In ICT we have been learning how to make more games on the computer and it is really fun. There are all different games we can pick from to try and make. Me and Bethany picked one where it had all different platforms. We have not finished it yet but we will finish it next week. (Emilia & Bethany)
