Senior School Assessment Calendar
An Assessment Calendar has been added to the Parent’s section of the school website. This will detail when S4, S5 & S6 students will sit Nabs, Prelims and class test across all subjects.
Girls Netball Club – every Monday!
Fancy getting fit and having fun with friends? Come along to the netball club (girls only) every Monday from 3.45pm in the games hall. All year groups welcome.

Duke of Edinburgh
Do you want to learn new skills? Do you want to improve your fitness? Do you enjoy volunteering or exploring the Scottish countryside, then Duke of Edinburgh Award maybe for you.
A new Duke of Edinburgh club starts in Barrhead High school next Thursday, 13th Sept, in Ralston. The club will run every Thursday from 7pm – 9.30pm. More information can be found on the Duke of Edinurgh website, but why don’t you come to the club next Thursday – it’s bound to be a lot of fun.
New and old members are all welcome.
BasketballScotland Trials

Higher Education Information evening
Barrhead High will host a Higher Education information evening on Tuesday, 28th August 2012 commencing at 7pm. The meeting should last until approximately 8.30pm. More information can be found here.
School trips
Please find attached further information on the school trips that are planned for the year ahead. The teaching staff involved with these trips will provide pupils with more information in the coming weeks.
S5 – Blazing Blazers
For the first time our fifth year students have been given the option of wearing a school blazer. So far, this has been a huge success with the majority of pupils opting to wear one. With a big focus on school uniform this year, S5 are cerntainly playing their part!
Exam success at Barrhead High
This year saw the largest number of S5 students achieving passes in all 5 of their Higher subjects. Congratulations to the ei
ghteen pupils (some of which are pictured below) who passed all five of their Higher exams: Mark Addie, Righard Barr, Fraser Black, Conor Coogan-Horne, Daniel Cunningham, Holly, Cunningham, Max Curran, Liam Easson-Brausch, Richard Halligan, Jamie MacKenzie, Andrew McDougall, Craig Wallace, Ross McFarlane, Ross Paton, Cameron Ritchie, Kieran Scott, Nicholas Scott and Michael Slater.
