Come and see the plans for yourself
A public consultation is being held on Wednesday, 28 January into the plans for the new Barrhead High School.
It will be held in the Ralston Room of Barrhead High School for five hours – from 3pm to 8pm – to give as many people as possible the chance to come in and find out more.
There will be the chance to ask questions of the team which has drawn up the plans for the replacement building.

Many thanks to all of the parents and pupils who came along to the study skills session on Tuesday 20 Jan. There were some talented jugglers amongst the group…and some of us who’s skills are clearly in other areas!

The Creative Writing Club went to see ‘A Christmas Carol’ at the Citizens Theatre. Everyone was enthralled by the performance and it gave them inspiration for new stories. Here are some of the reactions:

The latest edition of ‘Barrhead Banter’, the group’s magazine, has now been published. Copies are in the English classrooms and the library, but if you want to read a story now, click on the link above.
The group meets in Room 35 on Monday and Thursday lunchtimes. New members are always welcome.
A reminder to all S1 parents:
The S1 Parents’ Evening takes place tomorrow evening [Tuesday, 27th January] from 4pm. Students are currently making appointments with their teachers and will be able to do so up until tomorrow.
We look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday.
A reminder to all year groups that the Gymnastics club is on every Wednesday after school from 2:45- 4pm.
Students are currently practising for the Scottish Schools regional heats on Friday 13th Feb.

If students wish more information on creating a study plan, on note-taking, on creating a mind-map, on flashcards or on how to cope with the stress of examinations, then please visit the SQA Study Guide Website.
All senior students have been issued with a prelim timetable this week.
Students should ensure that they are familiar with the date and times of each exam. They should also ensure that they arrive in good time to allow each exam to start on time.
Each student will receive an individual timetable prior to the start of the exams stating dates, times, rooms and seat allocation.
