The building has been inspected for damage and although we experienced some minor problems, these have been dealt with now. As we anticipated yesterday, Barrhead High School will be open for all pupils and staff today.

Fri 9th Dec – School Reopens
The latest advice from East Renfrewshire Council on Twitter is “We expect our schools, offices and services to reopen as usual tomorrow, but will tweet if there’s any change”.
We would expect therefore that Barrhead High School will be fully open to pupils and staff tomorrow (Friday).

Thurs 8th Dec – WEATHER UPDATE
ERC have just updated the advice – all ERC schools will be shut all day today. Apologies for any inconvenience THIS IS FOR STAFF AND PUPILS. The school building will shut at 0900 hours.
UCAS Deadline for S5/6 pupils
The deadline date for completed UCAS forms to Guidance staff by 15 December 2011
Senior boys basketball
Well done to the senior boys basketball team who defeated Castlehead High School 47 – 9. Every player made a contribution and Barrhead High were deserved winners. Well done boys!
Recycling – fundraising
Barrhead High School is very grateful to ReUse It on Muriel Street, Barrhead (near the train station) who have allowed us to place a clothes recycle bin on their grounds to help raise cash for our school funds – so far we have raised £110.
If you have any old clothes or brick-a-brack please take it along to the recycle bin or bring it into school and help raise even more money for our school fund.
S5/6 Parents’ Evening
Following on from receiving the Senior School Report Card there is a Parents’ Evening on Monday 5 December from 4pm until 6.30pm.
Pupils have appointment sheets and have been encouraged over the last week to make appointments with as many teachers as possible. If you are unable to attend please contact Mrs Crawford (Depute Head) who will arrange a suitable time to discuss any concerns that you have. Mr Sinclair will be available throughout the evening to meet and speak to Parents.
John Muir Award – Parent Feedback
