S4 Parents/Carers Evening
S3 DOFE Group – Registration forms & Payment
S3 DOFE Group: All S3 students wishing to undertake the Duke of Edinburgh Award this year should meet in room 202 at 12.20pm on Tuesday, 8th Oct. Students should have both registrations forms (completed) and £22 payment (either in cash or as a cheque made payable to East Renfrewshire Council).
If students have decided they wish to undertake the NNAS Award as well, then they should bring an additional £5 payment (either in cash or cheque). For more information on the NNAS Award, see here: http://tiny.cc/pbovdz
** If students are paying in cash, please bring the exact money. Change cannot be given.**
S4 DOFE Group – Kit Return
** Apologies for the previous post that had the DOFE kit return at the same time as the S4 parents evening. I hope by moving the time to later in the evening that this will allow students and parents to attend both events. I would also encourage students to gather kit together and return the kit as a group – i.e. one parent/student returning three lots of kit.
S4 DOFE Group: All DOFE kit should be returned to the Fairweather Hall on Tuesday, 8th Oct between 6pm & 7.30pm.
Students should ensure that:
- Their Trangia stove is scrubbed clean using a brillo pad.
- Their tent has been thoroughly dried.
- Their sleeping bags have been washed and dried.
Students should also ensure that the tent and its poles & pegs are all brought back together and rolled into the tent bag provided. Tents should not be returned separately from their poles and pegs.
When returning your kit, please leave a little time for your kit to be inspected by the DOFE staff. Once your kit has been accepted back into storage, the £50 deposit will be returned.
Please contact Mr Boag, via the school office, should this date/time be unsuitable.
S3 DOFE Group – 1st DOFE Meeting
S3 DOFE Group:
A reminder to all S3 students looking to undertake the DOFE Bronze award over the next year, your first DOFE meeting is on Thursday at 12.20pm in room 202 (Mr Boag’s room).
Students are not too late to sign-up, they simply need to collect a registration form from Mr Boag ASAP.
NNAS Award
I forgot to mention at the recent DOFE Presentation, that students can also qualify for a NNAS Award if they pay a further £5 fee. This would be in addition to their £22 DOFE regsitration fee.
NNAS – National Navigation Award Scheme would provide students with an SCQF certificate in navigation. This would come through in August 2021 when students receive their SQA examination certificates. If students wish to receive this additional award, then they should pay an additional £5 with their DOFE registration fee. More information on when this will be, will follow shortly.

For all S3 students looking to under The Duke of Edinburgh Award:
If you missed the recent Duke of Edinburgh Award presentation, then Click Here.
If S3 students couldn’t make the meeting last week (19th Sept) and have not got a DOFE registration form, then they should see Mr Boag (in Maths) ASAP.
For all S3 students that have completed their DOFE registration forms:
Can students keep their DOFE documents until I let you know how to pay the £22 registration fee. I will make a date (usually at lunch) with the DOFE Manager and when you hand your forms to him, he will create your DOFE account. Thanks
