Duke of Edinburgh Award (S3 Students)

Mr Boag is looking to start a new Duke of Edinburgh group with S3 students.

Any S3 student wishing to undertake the Bronze Award this year , should pass their name to Mr Boag (Maths Dept) this week.

Once we have enough students to run the group we will organise a virtual presentation evening on Microsoft Teams (students will be able to access this through Glow).

If you are unsure whether DOFE is for you, then why not watch these videos to help you decide:

S5/S6 Pupils – Virtual Work Experience and Virtual Work Insight Opportunities

All senior pupils should check the Career Pathways Opportunities folder on their year group Google Classrooms.

We have posted links to numerous virtual work experience opportunities with a huge range of companies covering career pathways including: accountancy, finance, software development, business and STEM amongst others.

For all pupils leaving school this year and applying for college, university or a Graduate or Modern Apprenticeship, these events  are a fantastic way of enhancing your application and CV.

Online Work Experience Opportunities

Cyber Discovery – STEM Project

Any S2 – S6 students who are interested in cyber security may want to challenge themselves with Cyber Discovery: CyberStart Assess Tool.

CyberStart Assess is an online tool where students work with cryptic clues to find hidden codes.  The tool is designed to make each challenge harder than the last, and depending on how each student achieves they may have the opportunity to progress to the CyberStart Game.

If you are interested in being part of the CyberStart Assess challenge then see Mr Boag (Maths).

Students have until 31st October to register for this challenge.
