Health and wellbeing – P. E

In P.E we were learning about different possession games.

We were working on our skills in controlling a ball, passing a ball and dribbling a ball.

We learned about the importance of being a good team players and of playing different roles within a team  – being attackers and defenders.

We tried a new game called handball which combined all of the skills we had been learning.

Science – sound and vibration

In science we learned about sound. We did lots of practical experiments to learn how sound travels.

In ICT we used a search engine to research information on how animals communicate. We selected appropriate information and then created a PowerPoint presentation using Google slides using the information we researched.

Leonna – I really like the tuning fork experiment when the water flew out of the cup.

Zoe – I was interested in learning how animals can communicate with each other.

Nathan M  – I enjoyed watching the video clips showing how sound travels through the air.

In Social studies we have been learning about Fairtrade. We captured our learning in a floorbook.

We learned about the benefits of Fairtrade and about all the countries in the world that Fairtrade operates in. We researched this information by access search engines and using an atlas to locate the different countries.

Jamie – I was surprised by how many countries Fairtrade worked in.

Nathan J  – I was able to locate lots of the countries using an Atlas
