P6a were looking at food labelling system and the amount of sugar per 100g/ml. Some very shocking surprises with BBQ sauce coming at the top of the list and some fizzy drinks coming closer to the bottom! They measured out caster sugar to see the actual level of sugar in each item/100g.
It’s difficult to get a graph just right. Well done to Hollie, Holly and Leigh, these are lovely examples.
Cara has been working hard in Maths!!
We regularly use our whiteboards to help us with our work.
In September Primary 5a had lots of fun doing a maths treasure hunt. Each card was placed somewhere in the gym hall and we had to read the card, find the answer and then look for the card around the hall which had the answer on it. It was a great way of practising our skills and knowledge of addition, subtraction and multiplication.
Pr 4/3 collected information on our favourite rainforest animal using tally marks. We then displayed this information by creating a bar graph. What was our favourite rainforest animal ?
