P6a were looking at food labelling system and the amount of sugar per 100g/ml. Some very shocking surprises with BBQ sauce coming at the top of the list and some fizzy drinks coming closer to the bottom! They measured out caster sugar to see the actual level of sugar in each item/100g.
When it’s too cold or wet outside and we can’t get out for P.E. primary 5a like to use Just Dance. We have some great moves! Check us out!
At the beginning of the year we all wrote down three things we could already do and one thing that we couldn’t do YET. We are hoping that when we look back on our statements at the end of the year that we can now do what we said in our final statement.
Hollie: I can do a cart wheel, a handstand and a front flip. I can’t YET swim.
Caleb: I can help, work hard and listen. I can’t YET whistle.
Let’s hope we CAN at the end of the year!
As part of their Health and Wellbeing learning, the children have been thinking about resilience and helpful thought processes when things go wrong. Bounce Back is an acrostic to help us all remember these strategies.
During their Golden Time, the children who chose ICT created a Bounce Back movie. They animated bouncing balls and filmed each other saying the strategies. The film is below (with a special effect to keep our children’s images private).
