Arthurlie Family Centre

Child Protection

The staff in Arthurlie Family Centre complete annual child protection training.

Our Child Protection Policy and Procedure combined with the East Renfrewshire Council’s SC57 on Child Protection details what we will do in the event that we have reason to believe a child is being abused or is at risk of abuse, either within the home or the community. These policies are designed to ensure that children get the help they need when they need it

Should you have any concerns about the safety of a child or young person, please do not hesitate to contact the Acting Head of Centre, Leeanne Dunnet who is the Child Protection Officer for the Family Centre.  Alternatively , please click on the following link:

Parents can access support for keeping children safe online, including information on protecting children and young people from child sexual exploitation.  There is information for children, young people, friends and families on the following link:

The underwear rule is a simple way that parents can help keep their child safe from abuse.  Talking PANTS teaches children important messages such as their body belongs to them and they should tell and adult if they’re upset or worried.  NSPCC offers further advice, please click link below:
