I am so impressed with the WW2 models that the children brought in today. The children peer assessed their work and received some fantastic feedback. Tomorrow, we will showcase our models in the P.E hall to the rest of the school, before completing our final test and assessment on Friday. Well done P7.26 🌟🌟.

P7.26 debating very important issues, such as independence, technology in schools and PPE.

Learning intention: To understand how debating works, what the rules are and how to debate.

Yesterday was our first session in the kitchen this year. We enjoyed making Halloween themed stuffed peppers – yum!

Today, 10 pupils presented their fantastic solo talks to the class about an aspect of the Second World War they are particularly interested in. They received amazing feedback from their peers and we loved being involved in their quizzes and asking questions!

Learning Intention – I am learning to present a solo talk.

Well done to Ibrahim, Erin, Abdur-Rehman, Ross, Megha, Grace, Kate, Andrei, Fatima and Talha for presenting today 🌟. Amongst others, their topics included Concentration Camps, WW2 Art, Pearl Harbour, Aircraft and Vehicles.

Here are some pictures from our P.E session today with our Active Schools Co-ordinator, Brandon.

Today, we completed some maths outdoor. The children worked in groups to crack a range of different codes. I have attached just some pictures from our fantastic afternoon 😊.    

We have enjoyed using outer blending skills to create some ‘Love not War’ art work using oil pastels. I have attached some of the children’s work, as well as our new display in the corridor. This includes some of the children’s spitfire drawings.

P7.26 had a fantastic virtual music lesson this morning with Andrew Duncan from the BBC Symphony Orchestra. Andrew played the tuba for our class as we clapped along. We finished by asking some great questions and learned that Andrew started playing the tuba when he was in Primary 7, just like us 😁.

The children have been enjoying bringing in items and pictures from home to share with the class. These have helped to develop our social studies knowledge and understanding. They have also sparked fantastic conversations in class. Thank you 😊
