Anti Bullying Week and World Children’s Day

As it was anti bullying week this week, pupils worked in groups to create anti bullying dramas. They created scenes where bullies were challenged and encourage to change their actions and choose kindness.

To finish off the week, the whole class also took part in an anti bullying quiz on Kahoot!

To further celebrate World Childern’s day, as well as wearing blue for the day, some pupils opted to test their knowledge about climate change and challenge each other to another Kahoot quiz!

Halloween in 5.16!

Some spooky art work creations to complement our fabulous spooky haunted house imaginative writing!

Lots of great effort went into costume designs this year too!

P5.16 participated enthusiastically during our Freaky Friday fun day event and

loved being the first to make it on to the new pitch!

Some of the class even entered the pumpkin creation house challenge!

A fun day had by all!

Straw Rocket Creations!

As part of maths week, the class created wonderful videos about Mary Jackson in small groups. They found out that Mary Jackson was the first black, female NASA engineer! Inspired by her achievements and love for space we created our own straw rockets and tested them out.

The best part was testing them out and seeing how far they could fly!

First Day of Maths Week

Day one of maths week and P5.16 have been outdoor for most of the day learning about Quadrilaterals with Mrs Kelly.

This afternoon P5.16 adapted some of their favourite games KO and Chaos tig to incorporate an element of maths into their games.

Pupil’s have also found out their mathematician who they are going to learn about this week is Mary Jackson. They have come up with lots of key questions that they hope to learn throughout the week.

We’re going to be busy throughout the week!
