Hand washing Soaperheroes

This week we had a chance to check how important it is to wash our hands properly.  After rubbing some Bug Lotion on our hands, we have checked how germs would spread- our hands glowed under the UV light. We then split into two groups to test what is more effective: washing hands with soap and water or hand sanitising. The results were clear… Wash your hands with soap and water whenever possible.

Anti Bullying Week and World Children’s Day

As it was anti bullying week this week, pupils worked in groups to create anti bullying dramas. They created scenes where bullies were challenged and encourage to change their actions and choose kindness.

#choosekindness

To finish off the week, the whole class also took part in an anti bullying quiz on Kahoot!

To further celebrate World Childern’s day, as well as wearing blue for the day, some pupils opted to test their knowledge about climate change and challenge each other to another Kahoot quiz!

Outdoor letter fun, observations, recording and analysis

Despite the constant drizzle this morning we still managed to pack in a lot of learning and had lots of fun doing it too!

We started with some listening games then moved on to word creating using vowels, consonants and golden question marks! There were lots of challenges and we managed to create so many words.

Our observation and recording skills were next to be developed as we worked in pairs collecting interesting leaves before observing them closely and recording as many details as we could on a diagram. We then swapped with other pairs and identified each other’s leaves. It was great being able to analyse our work and see where we can improve too.
