Pupil’s enjoyed a wonderful Christmas party today, with a Draw with Rob drawing challenge, Festive themed party games and a selfie station!

STEM Event!
P5.16 were able to take part in a live STEM event hosted by ….
After asking some great questions to our key speakers, pupil put their engineering skills to the test! The spaghetti and marshmallow tower challenge was harder than it looked!

Working hard to show their learning about Mrs Nerg and the seven life processes of all living things. Pupils also created wonderful videos in groups to show their learning too! A class of many talents!
#Heartsforhomes Campaign
Recognising that 2020 has been a difficult time for many, for our last piece of writing this year, P5.16 took part in the Hearts for Homes campaigns. The worked hard to create their own ‘Send a Hug’ letters to residents in a local care home to share some kind words, advice and some uplifting and funny letters to help bring joy to the elderly in their community!
Advent has begun!
We’ve been enjoying different advents this year in class, including a French one.

Anti Bullying Week and World Children’s Day
As it was anti bullying week this week, pupils worked in groups to create anti bullying dramas. They created scenes where bullies were challenged and encourage to change their actions and choose kindness.

To finish off the week, the whole class also took part in an anti bullying quiz on Kahoot!
To further celebrate World Childern’s day, as well as wearing blue for the day, some pupils opted to test their knowledge about climate change and challenge each other to another Kahoot quiz!
Celebrating Book week
This week Primary 5.16 enjoyed taking part in an author live event learning about ‘Cakes in Space‘ with Sarah McIntyre and Philip Reeve.
One of their favourite parts was taking part in the draw along section.

Coding Challenges
As a class we have been learning about directions, bearings and how to code. Pupils have enjoyed testing their skills to complete various challenges with coding games and with the Spheros.

Remembrance Assemby
P5.16 took part in the virtual pastoral assembly for Remembrance Day. We thought about difficult times and also about the importance of hope. Creating illustrations to reflect our feelings and rainbows to signify our hope for good times to come 🌈
