Two little helpers paid 1.4 a visit today with some gifts. The class were very excited to see them but the twins were more interested in the tuff tray !
Santa !
We had an excellent afternoon at our Christmas party. We played games, danced around and some of us even won prizes ! Our favourite part though ? Santa coming to see us ! We were all so excited and some of us even heard his reindeer on the roof 🎅
August Flashback
As we are now near the end of 2019, we thought we’d share an amazing memory of the year – the children’s first day of Primary 1 🙂
P1 Party
We are all looking fantastic today and can’t wait for our party this afternoon 🤩
Maths games
We’ve been playing maths games . Snakes and ladders has been popular. It’s a great way of counting without realising you’re doing it !
Outdoor Play
We played in the nursery playground this afternoon. Lots of the children loved being back in their old nursery playground. Others enjoyed seeing it and playing in it. It was lovely to see how much fun the children were having on the pirate ship, in the sandpit, making soup in the mud kitchen and being free to choose where they wanted to play.
Jolly Phonics
Every morning we take time to revise our learned sounds. We know all the actions too! Here is a little clip of us demonstrating our phonic recognition.
XMas Fayre
Our reindeer jars are finished and ready to be sold at tomorrow’s Fayre. They look fantastic! Santa’s reindeer will love the food inside (and so will the birds 🤫) .
Homework
As you will have noticed, the homework diary sheets have changed. As stated on the sheet, homework should be done to suit your family life.
Your child will be given a Literacy task & a Maths task. At the moment these are in booklet form.
Some children will also have been given tricky words to practise. These will eventually be given to all groups.
Mrs O’Donnell and I will ensure your child receives the correct homework task based on their current group. The groups are regularly reviewed and updated based on your child’s learning.
Any questions regarding homework please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Library Visit
The library lady came to visit us in class today. She showed us the great Book bags which we have home today.
The bag contains 3 books for you to read with your child. After reading them  your child can choose their favourite book in the booklet which is included.
