STEM Week Visitors

On Tuesday we had a visit from the Reggaelicious Food Truck. They told us all about the STEM skills that they used to help create their business. They had to use maths skills and engineering skills to build out the inside their truck. They also told us about the STEM jobs they had before they started their food business. We really enjoyed seeing the food they made and learning about where all the food came from.

Twosday Challenges!

Today’s date is Tuesday 22nd February 2022 or 22/02/2022.

When the date is written in number form it is both a palindrome and an ambigram.
That means it reads the same way from left to right, from right to left AND upside down!

In class we have set ourselves some ‘Twosday Challenges’.
1. We are all going to complete 22 laps of the pitch this week during our Daily Mile.

2. We were silent in class today for 22 minutes and 22 second! (Yes we really were! 👏🏻👏🏻) We kept ourselves busy doing some ‘Twosday’ Mindfulness colouring.

3. We found many different ways to make the number 22 using add, subtract, multiply and divide.

What a busy Twosday we have had! 🤩

Our Victorian Classroom

Today ‘Miss Albert’ visited our class and took us back in time to 1872. She  was little more strict than Mrs McGoldrick 😉 but we still had lots of fun!
We worked on our times tables, played with hoops and made hopscotch games in the playground. We had ‘drill’ in the Gymnasium and learnt how to do Copperplate writing ✍🏼✍🏾.

Here are some photos of our day.

The Canadian Barn Dance

Today we learnt how to do the Canadian Barn Dance for our dance lesson. Mrs McGoldrick thought we did a fantastic job. You will see in the video that we were so good she did not have to lead us with any instructions, we had listened so well we were able to do with dance without having to be reminded what to do. 🤩🤩💃🏽🕺🏼🌟🌟

N.B. We sanitised our hands before and after our dancing.
