Snow fun! ❄️ ⛄️

We braved the snow this morning and had lots of fun playing in the snow! Some of us wrote our names in the snow, Carrie even wrote my name, we built snowmen, drew pictures in the snow and we had a snowball throwing challenge to see who could throw their snowball the furthest.

Angles and directions

Some of us have been bus learning about right angles, quarter and half turns, and creating and following directions.

Look at Finlay’s amazing work. He created his own route and wrote instructions for it. He then got a friend to follow his route in the classroom.

Look at Max’s great work on finding right angles in our classroom.

Charlotte did some amazing work on clockwise turns.

L asked E to listen to his route. E had to listen to the directions and follow them.

Here is Alexander’s super work on shapes that have right angles.

One small step for man, a giant leap for p2.5 🚀

Today we had such an enjoyable afternoon creating rockets! We worked in teams to create rockets that would survive landing back to Earth. We tested them out to see if they would survive from different heights. Some survived, others crashed. We had a lot of fun watching out our rockets land.

Bonfire, Fireworks and Guy Fawkes

Today we’ve been learning a little about the history of Bonfire Night. We learned about Guy Fawkes, we watched a virtual fireworks display, we described our 5 senses at a bonfire gathering and wrote sentences, as well as creating our own fireworks art. Look at our amazing work! I will post photos of our art tomorrow once it has dried.
