Breakfast Muffins

Today we had our last day of Mearns Masters Gastronomers. We had chosen to bake oat and raisin breakfast muffins.
We really enjoyed baking them in the kitchen but the best part was eating them in the afternoon.
we shared some of the extra muffins with the other teachers and SMT in the school. Mr Peebles said they were β€œAwesome!” πŸ‘πŸ»

Healthy Eating

Our Mearns Masters this block has been the Gastronomers. πŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ³πŸ§‘πŸΎβ€πŸ³πŸ‘¨πŸ½β€πŸ³ We have been learning about knife skills and about different breakfasts around the world.

Two weeks ago we chose to make an American breakfast of pancakes πŸ₯ž, scrambled eggs πŸ₯š, and blueberries 🫐.

We all enjoyed cooking our scrambled eggs, which were delicious! We were so busy concentrating on what we had to do that we were not able to take any photos. πŸ˜”

Last week we were learning about having a healthy balanced diet and we created healthy eating plates based around the different food groups in the food triangle.

PARTY PARTY PARTY! πŸ₯³ 🎈

We have had a fabulous day partying!

We started off by discussing our favourite P2 memories and icing biscuits this morning. Before break time we had a picnic outside with our toys and teddy bears.Β After break we played some party games outside and also had a scavenger hunt, we then came inside and did some body percussion in the class to some popular songs and then we had a crown parade where we walked down the catwalk and showed off our party hats and crowns. After lunch we had some more party games inside, including best dancers, musical arms and musical statues. We then ate our delicious biscuits and watched part of a film. It has been a wonderful day! πŸ₯³πŸ‘πŸŒŸβ€οΈ
