Today we were practising both our number and letter formation. We are continuing to focus on correctly forming numbers to 10 (although we are now exploring numbers to 20) and today our sound was ‘g’.

As it was very wet yesterday we decided to head out to our Outdoor Classroom to complete our activities. On our way there we managed to collect some natural loose parts to practise our counting.
We then used these items to create number posters. We had to write the number and then stick the right number of objects beside it. Here we are working on our posters.
It was exciting to visit a new part of the school and we were able to see the raindrops run down the windows and watch the trees blowing in the wind.
This afternoon we took Maths outdoors. We have been exploring number and today practised formation using chalk 🙌🏻 So far we have looked at the numbers 1,2,3,4 and 5, matching objects with quantities and demonstrating our number recognition through the game SPLAT!
