Today we’ve been learning a little about the history of Bonfire Night. We learned about Guy Fawkes, we watched a virtual fireworks display, we described our 5 senses at a bonfire gathering and wrote sentences, as well as creating our own fireworks art. Today we learned about astronauts! We looked at the types of training they do, what they have to wear and we even came up with some ideas for what we would take to space if we went. We drew/wrote these on our whiteboards.

Today we learned about travelling to space. We designed our own modes of transport to space. We had lots of rockets and spaceships, but we also had some booster backpacks and jet packs, as well as a unicorn!

We then watched a rocket launch and looked inside a space craft. There were lots of “wows” and gasping faces.
