Breakfast Muffins

Today we had our last day of Mearns Masters Gastronomers. We had chosen to bake oat and raisin breakfast muffins.
We really enjoyed baking them in the kitchen but the best part was eating them in the afternoon.
we shared some of the extra muffins with the other teachers and SMT in the school. Mr Peebles said they were โ€œAwesome!โ€ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Healthy Eating

Our Mearns Masters this block has been the Gastronomers. ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿปโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿง‘๐Ÿพโ€๐Ÿณ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿณ We have been learning about knife skills and about different breakfasts around the world.

Two weeks ago we chose to make an American breakfast of pancakes ๐Ÿฅž, scrambled eggs ๐Ÿฅš, and blueberries ๐Ÿซ.

We all enjoyed cooking our scrambled eggs, which were delicious! We were so busy concentrating on what we had to do that we were not able to take any photos. ๐Ÿ˜”

Last week we were learning about having a healthy balanced diet and we created healthy eating plates based around the different food groups in the food triangle.
