Here at Turnbull High School, we see the inestimable value of creative and interactive learning experience inside the classroom and in other contexts. For this reason, the RE department prioritises retreats and events that will inspire pupils to engage with their faith and grow in personal holiness.
Annual retreats and events are planned for Advent, Holy Week, Catholic Education Week and Vocations Awareness week to name just a few. These take the form of creative and immersive experiences which are designed to capture the imagination and take faith formation out of the classroom context.
In addition to large scale events, pupils have opportunities to visit the Oratory regularly, to pray the Rosary and other devotions and to attend events at an archdiocesan and national level. We collaborate regularly with RCAG YOUTH, SERRA, Aid to the Church in Need, the NET team and AGAP.
