Paris Trip – June 2023
Our S3 pupils (and teachers!) had a fantastic time exploring Paris as part of our June Modern Languages trip. We can’t wait to share our experience – pictures to follow!
Introducing our Language Ambassadors!
Lynsay Brown and Daniel Heaney (S6) are this year’s Language Ambassadors for Turnbull High School and the Modern Languages Department. Here is what they had to say about their new role.
We are delighted to have been selected as Language Ambassadors this year. We are both really passionate about Modern Languages and are currently studying Advanced French, Spanish and Crash Higher Italian! We have really enjoyed our language learning experience here in Turnbull and have appreciated the support and motivation of our teachers over the years. We hope to promote the importance of languages to younger year groups and the wider school community by helping to organise whole school events and celebrate diversity within Turnbull.
Senior Awards
A fantastic night was had by all last Thursday as we celebrated the Senior Awards ceremony here in Turnbull.
Congratulations to our prize winners – Kieran Mulheron (100% for N5 French!), Rhiannon Quinn, Nathan Murray and Daniel Heaney, Faith Hunter and Eva Ralston.
A special congratulations to Lynsay Brown who picked up the coveted Multilinguist Award for her efforts in both French and Spanish.

This week we have been celebrating European Day of Languages
