My name is Beth and I’m the Makaton and languages Champion.

Good Morning Song …

Some of the children helped make a video singing our good morning song using Makaton signs.

I will be looking at introducing some basic Spanish after the Christmas holidays. We have begun by using Hola instead of hello and Adios instead of goodbye at welcome time and home times.

The children have been practicing very hard at remembering some Halloween signs . Here is a couple of children demonstrating their hard work.

Makaton Parent Workshop

I would normally arrange a parent information session on Makaton. This would be to explain the importance of why we use this in our centre, and a member of Makaton Ayrshire would usually attend to give a an example of some of the signs  we use in the ECC. 18/02/21
