Across the ECC this week we will be focusing on Halloween, this will then lead to our Halloween parties. There will be lots of opportunities for sensory play with the gloop, spooky jelly, spaghetti and sensory cauldron. We will provide a selection of Halloween games, jigsaws, stories and songs. Music and literacy will be a particular focus as the children learn a range of Halloween songs, rhymes and ring games and at this time we will focus on developing the children’s understanding of rhyming words. We will be holding Halloween parties on Friday 29th October, where we will be providing additional Halloween activities and some party games. This will take place during your child’s usual session on this date.
Please note fancy dress is optional and children are welcome to dress up any day that they attend this week.
However, if your child is dressing up, please ensure no masks/props etc. are brought in, as we cannot accept additional items, this is due to current COVID restrictions.
Good morning and happy Friday everyone 🙂
As you will know we have now been able to set up our Learning Journals for all children and are currently working at slowly building these up within the ECC.
As part of this we hope to have 1 post up for every child within the next fortnight. Please keep an eye out for this and bear with us while we build our confidence in using these. We will keep you up to date with what to expect from your Learning Journals as we progress.
Can we also remind those who haven’t already activated their account to do so as soon as you can and contact the ECC if you have any problems with this.
Thank you
Could we kindly ask parents/carers to bring in family photographs to keep in the children’s rooms. This will help us build a link between home and the ECC. Whilst doing this, we will be promoting conversations, developing language and building new vocabulary.
