I hope you and your families are all keeping well.

At this time of year we begin to plan for next session and make decisions about our S5 Pathways. It’s essential we complete this process promptly so we know which subjects we need to run next year and to try to ensure as many pupils as possible get to take the subjects they require. Please read the information below carefully so you know what is required of you.

Firstly, please watch the video below which I have prepared to help guide you through the process. In normal circumstances we would have an options evening in the school led by your Year Head so this video replaces the guidance I would normally give on that evening. Parents and Carers are encouraged to watch this with young people to help support them through the options process.

If you have yet to fill in the original form, you should use St. Joseph’s Academy, St. Joseph’s Church, Mount Carmel Church, Darvel, Galston, St. John’s Church or Our Lady of Lourdes and St. Patrick’s Church at the given times.

Anyone changing location at this stage should also use one of the above locations. In some cases, there are health reasons that necessitate delivery and/or numbers are so low that delivery to doors is more practical in some areas.
