The Science Department staff are:

Mr Hendren

Mr Hendren is the Faculty Head and a teacher of Chemistry and Biology. He joined the school in 2010.  He is a Duke of Edinburgh expedition leader and an SQA marker.

Mr Smallwood

Mr Smallwood is a Chemistry teacher. He joined the school in 2001.  He runs the school ski trips and has taken pupils to Disneyland Paris for the Roller coaster experience workshops.

Miss Taylor   

Miss Taylor is a Chemistry teacher and Principal Teacher of STEM. She joined the school in 2015.  She runs the STEM club and also helps with the ski trips and Disneyland Paris trips.  She is also Acting DHT on a Friday.

Mr MCormack   

Mr  McCormack is a Science and Biology Teacher within Stewarton Academy.  He is also one of the  Principal Teachers of Pupil Support with responsibility for Boyd house.

Mrs Beattie

Mrs  Beattie is a Science and Biology Teacher within Stewarton Academy.  She is also one of the  Principal Teachers of Pupil Support with responsibility for Montgomery house.

Mrs Smith

Mrs Smith is a Science and Biology Teacher within Stewarton Academy. Mrs Smith works 0.6 FTE and is in school Monday to Wednesday.

Mrs Brown

Mrs Brown is a Science and Biology Teacher within Stewarton Academy.

Mr McGuire

Mr McGuire is a NQT Biology Teacher with Stewarton Academy.

Mr Burrett

Mr Burrett is a Physics and Science teacher within Stewarton Academy.

Mrs Sneddon

Mrs Sneddon is a Physics and Science teacher. She works 4 days a week.

Mrs Barbour

Mrs Barbour is a physics, chemistry and science teacher. She is also a Principal teacher of Pupil Support.

 

Mrs Strachan – Technician
