P4/5- Fairtrade Fortnight Day 5

Hi everyone. Through the small choices that you make every day, they can make BIG difference in the world. From the food we eat to the clothes we wear. The choices that we make can affect the planet and the people that live on it in positive and negative ways. You are going to watch a short clip to help you start to think about the power of your choices. https://vimeo.com/500855906

Make a choice that is positive for people and our planet today! Write a sentence, story, draw a picture/diagram or get someone at home to video you explaining/making your choice.

P4/5- Fairtrade Fortnight Day 4

Good morning everybody 🙂 Today for Fairtrade Fortnight we are going to be looking at ‘Cocoa climate’. We have already learned quite a bit about where Fairtrade chocolate comes from and how it is made but today, we will be looking at how climate can have an impact on growing cocoa. Please watch the video linked here first. https://vimeo.com/503505343

Within the film you will have noticed some of the different climates in the UK and West Africa. What were the similarities? What were the differences? Use the Venn diagram attached to record the similarities and differences.

P4/5- Fairtrade Fortnight Day 3

Hi everyone. Today you are going to be thinking about the Fairtrade logo. Do you already know what it looks like? Where can you find the logo?

You are going to be creating your own Fairtrade logo, using whatever materials you like! You can paint it, make it on the computer, draw and colour it, make it using recycled materials, whatever you want.

Have fun! Don’t forget to send your artwork to your teacher. If you can, try and keep a hold of your artwork for us to display in school when we return!
