First Week in P6/7

We have had a brilliant first week in P6/7.

On Monday, we created our ‘Who am I?’ display. We typed up different clues about ourselves, drew a self portrait and have displayed these around the school for others to read and see if they can guess who we are.

We started reading a short story called ‘They Change’ –  we have read up to chapter 4 and can’t wait to find out what happens next. We have been looking at homophones in spelling and have already started to explore what the different words mean.

In numeracy we have been learning to round numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, 10000 and beyond. We have been learning about place value and writing down the value of different digits.

In PE we were playing a variety of fun games.

P7 were excited to get to see and help their P1 buddy settle into their first week at school.

P7 have already started thinking about their speeches for School Captain.
