Weekly Round-up
It’s been another busy week in P6. This week we took part in a book swap for World Book Day. We also picked a book to take down & read to our buddies at the ECC.
We also had a visit from PC Shirkie who was teaching us all about online safety & the importance of only adding people that we are actually friends with and know on our different games & platforms.
We have been learning how to analyse data and how data can be misleading at times. We also used Excel to create our own line graphs this week.

This is week two of our Numeracy homework block. A worksheet linked to previous learning has been sent home today to be returned on Friday.
Weekly Round-up
This week we have been learning about organising information. We looked at the different types of graphs, and when to use each one. We created our own graphs and were able to answer questions using the information. We were also learning to use Excel in ICT to organise and display information.
We were also learning about the different types on pollution, such as air, water and soil pollution and the impact it can have on the environment and others.
We also had great fun getting to make some foam clay models. Check out some of our fabulous creations.

Weekly Round-up
This week P6 were very excited to find out who their buddy was and got the chance to spend some time getting to know them down at the ECC.
We have been continuing to read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as our class novel, and completed various tasks based on our book. This week we were revising different phonemes as part of our spelling.
In maths we have been learning all about data, and how to collect, organise and display the information properly using tables and bar charts.

It’s been a short but busy week for P6!
We caught up with the Safer Internet Day 2026 live lesson, and have been putting our leadership skills to good use by creating PowerPoints all about internet safety that we plan to deliver to the younger pupils in the school.
Weekly Update
It’s been an extremely busy week in P6. This week we continued to work on and develop our badminton skills in PE.
On Tuesday we participated in a Climate Ready Classrooms conference aimed at P6 pupils, with Make Scotland Beautiful and some other P6 classes. We took part in different workshops about climate change, biodiversity and the importance of taking action.
On Wednesday we had a fantastic day at The Science Centre and had great fun learning and exploring. Take a look at some of the things we got up to on our visit.
Weekly Round-up
This week we have been learning about the rules of badminton and have been trying hard to improve our aim. We also had another leadership session with Barry, where we planned and organised our own sports event to run with the ECC and younger pupils.
In numeracy we have been learning about fractions and the importance of equal parts.
As part of our Scotland topic, we have been researching Famous Scots and this week we took it in turns to teach the rest of the class about the individual that we have been researching.
Weekly Round-up
It’s been a very busy week in P6 this week. On Monday we had a joint PE session with P7 where we participated in different track and field events.
On Tuesday we had our second leadership session with Barry, we were learning about skill based circuits and everyone got a turn of leading the activities and were able to adapt their station as needed and provide feedback to those in their group. On Tuesday afternoon we had our first visit to the ECC to meet some of the new pupils who will be joining us in P1 next year, and now we can’t wait to find out who our buddy will be.
On Wednesday we joined up with P7 to listen to everyone’s poems and the finalists were selected to go to the judges. We then created some Scottish themed prints in the style of Pop Art and finished off our afternoon with our next Discovery Den.
On Thursday we wrote the next part of our narrative stories. We have also been exploring data handling in maths and in science we were learning about producers, consumers and decomposers. We then sorted the pictures into the correct categories.
Some of our class were at the RBA competing at the Sportshall Athletics, they did a great job of representing our school.
