Weekly Round-up

This week we have been learning about the rules of badminton and have been trying hard to improve our aim. We also had another leadership session with Barry, where we planned and organised our own sports event to run with the ECC and younger pupils.

In numeracy we have been learning about fractions and the importance of equal parts.

As part of our Scotland topic, we have been researching Famous Scots and this week we took it in turns to teach the rest of the class about the individual that we have been researching.

Weekly Round-up

It’s been a very busy week in P6 this week. On Monday we had a joint PE session with P7 where we participated in different track and field events.

On Tuesday we had our second leadership session with Barry, we were learning about skill based circuits and everyone got a turn of leading the activities and were able to adapt their station as needed and provide feedback to those in their group. On Tuesday afternoon we had our first visit to the ECC to meet some of the new pupils who will be joining us in P1 next year, and now we can’t wait to find out who our buddy will be.

On Wednesday we joined up with P7 to listen to everyone’s poems and the finalists were selected to go to the judges. We then created some Scottish themed prints in the style of Pop Art and finished off our afternoon with our next Discovery Den.

On Thursday we wrote the next part of our narrative stories. We have also been exploring data handling in maths and in science we were learning about producers, consumers and decomposers. We then sorted the pictures into the correct categories.

Some of our class were at the RBA competing at the Sportshall Athletics, they did a great job of representing our school.
