Class Talk

P4 Class Talk Homework Project

Title: My Favourite Film or Book

Pupils have been given a project to prepare and present a short 5 minute talk about their favourite film or book.  The presentation should be as detailed as possible and should include information about the genre, characters, setting and plot.  Pupils could also include their favourite parts and the reasons why they like them, or ways they think the author or director could have made them even better. Pupils could also use other ideas to enhance their talk e.g. PowerPoint (sent by e-mail or saved on a pen-drive), drawings, diagrams or items from home.

Pupils should practise their talk at home as often as possible and use a timer to help. They may want to use notes or prompt cards to help  stay on track.

All talks will be assessed using the school’s Talking & Listening criteria, which is also available on Glow.

Talks should be ready to be present the week beginning Monday 11th May.

Further details will be posted on the class blog as to which day pupils will be presenting their talk.

If you have any questions please email me at: laura.mckenna@eastayrshire.org.uk

I look forward to hearing your talks.
