Halloween Fun!

Primary 2/3 looked absolutely fantastic dressed up for Halloween on Tuesday. Their costumes were all amazing!

We had a great party in the afternoon – we danced, played party games, dooked for apples and took part in some Halloween activities. It was great fun!

First week of term 2

Primary 2/3 have had a great first week of term.

We have been very lucky to get some lovely new Chromebooks to use in the classroom. We have been learning how to use them this week and have had fun playing games to enhance our learning in literacy and numeracy.

We have been learning the ‘ph’ and ‘ea’ sounds and finishing off our descriptive writing in literacy. In numeracy we have been learning to identify odd and even numbers. We enjoyed a lovely walk around the village on Wednesday afternoon to look for Halloween decorations and are looking forward to a fun filled day of Halloween activities on Tuesday!

Have a great weekend!

Last week of term 1

It’s hard to believe that it’s the end of term 1 already!

What a busy week it has been! We finally made it on our first class walk this week. We walked to the park and had lots of fun.

It was really hard but we managed to stay quiet for a whole 30 minutes during our Harvest Hush-In on Wednesday afternoon.

Thank you to everyone who made it along to parents’ night on Wednesday, it was so lovely to see you all and speak to you in person.

We finished off the term with a class party this afternoon for achieving 1000 points on Class Dojo, well done Primary 2/3!

Have a great October holiday!

Have a lovely long weekend!

In maths we have been counting on and back to 100 and counting in 10s.  We have been learning about animals that live under the sea and Mrs McKenna brought in a real shark tooth for us to see!
