This week we are learning two new sounds: <e> and <u>.
You can do the following activities with your child at home if you wish:
- Spot letters Ee and Uu on signs and advertisements on your next drive or shopping trip.
- Draw big “bubble letters” of E, e, and U, u and ask your child to trace them with different patterns.
- Think of things that begin with e or u and draw them. You can make a poster if you want.
- Practice letter formation of e and u.
You can also play this game to improve phonetic awareness. Choose the initial sounds for an easier game, the last sound for a medium challenge and the middle sound for a harder challenge.
