On Monday, we had Kilmarnock Football Team to help us keep fit and healthy with the darts board and icon machine…
We also had a great visit from the Oral Health team to tell us how to keep our teeth healthy. We used what we learned to make great Oral Health posters and a whole school display…
On Tuesday, we were very lucky to have a visit from the Cotton Trail. We tried delicious vegetable soup and made yummy wraps. We absolutely loved them…
The P6s also led an active schools leadership session and we got a chance to practise lots of PE skills…
On Wednesday, we had a visit from the RNLI and they told us about how to stay safe around water…
Miss Brown also took us for a line dancing masterclass. We learned lots of fun line dances..
On Thursday, we had a fantastic visit from a Fire Safety Officer. He spoke to us about the role of the Fire Rescue team and we also had great fun trying out some of the uniform…

We finished Thursday with Busy Hands, Calm Minds. This is where the staff in school shared how they like to relax at home. We had mindful colouring, watercolour art, movies, calligraphy, walking, yoga, cross-stitch, knitting and even tea and biscuits! What a lovely way to spend the afternoon 💕

This week we have been learning the ‘ck’ digraph. We built rockets, made hospitals to look after sick people, investigated keys and locks and practised our formation.
We have been looking at symmetry this week. We worked together to make symmetrical patterns using the peg boards. We also made symmetrical butterflies using the playdough and art materials. We played a fun symmetry game online. Click on the link below to play at home…
