This week in P1

We have had another busy week in Primary One.  In numeracy we have been learning to write 6 and 7.

In literacy we started learning our first two sounds; ‘a’ and ‘t’.  We have been learning to form the letters correctly and identify the sounds in words.

In our People Who Help Us topic we have been learning all about nurses and how they help us.

A crime scene in Primary 1!

This week we had to solve a crime! A naughty teddy came into our classroom during lunchtime to steal a special jewel, leaving behind an awful mess! We had to become Police Officers to catch the criminal!

We have also been busy learning about the number 4 and 5 this week.

Also look out in the local newspapers for our beautiful faces as the photographer came in to take our photograph. Here’s a little sneak preview…

This week in P1

This week we went outside to play and use the chalk to create wonderful artwork.

Elleanna brought in a peacock feather to show us.

We were learning about all the people who help us in the school.

We went our first village walk of the year. We listened to the rules to keep us safe when we are walking. Give us a wave if you see us out and about! 😊

In PE we played a fun warm up called The Bean Game.  We had to run on the spot like runner beans, freeze like frozen beans, do star jumps like jumping beans and act all wobbly like jelly beans.  We also had great fun using the parachute.

In numeracy we have been focusing on writing numbers.  This week we learned to write number 2 and number 3.
