Post school transition
Transition support provided by Charlene Dolan, Family Support Officer, WSDCS:
“In terms of transition we offer, emotional support for parents and pupils. I am able to attend meetings with parents and pupils, I am also able to go along to visits with pupils and parents to support them with any questions they may have.
I am able to attend any meeting they have in terms of which college they will attend to having their own home etc. To make sure they have access to all the support they are entitled to.
I support individuals to complete PIP or DLA or any benefits forms I am able to attend tribunals if it goes that far.
We also usually have our youth group for our older children but that is on hold at the moment and we are doing that through zoom on a Tuesday which is a quiz so if you know anyone who would like to be involved please get in touch.”
