đź’ŚWellness Wednesday!đź’Ś
Today we started our Child’s Mental Health Week activities. We started our day by Mindfulness Colouring to promote calmness.
We then wanted to spread some positivity, so we wrote notes to each other with some positive affirmations.
After lunch we looked at breathing techniques that we can use when we are overwhelmed. We had a go at some of them e.g. rainbow breathing, butterfly breathing and hand breathing.Â
Viking Artifact Homework
A big thank you to everyone who already has brought in Viking swords, shields, longships and many more. They are brilliant! Artifacts/models can still be brought in until the end of February. So there is still time to make something for our class assembly.
Thank you! Miss BÂ Â

đź’Ľ World of Work Week! đź’Ľ
Last week was World of Work week and we took part in lots of activities to explore different jobs.
We were lucky to have a visit from Stevey’s Mum. She talked about being an events organiser and we had a go at planning and promoting our own events.
We then had a visit from a local optician Rebecca. She explained what an optician does, the different parts of the eye and how she became an optician.
We also thought about what our dream job would be and we drew ourselves as our dream jobs.
Lastly, we had a visit from Yvonne an Occupational Therapist. She explained what her job is and how she helps people to do everyday jobs so they can be independent.
Overall, we had a great week thinking about jobs!Â
