Last week was World of Work week and we took part in lots of activities to explore different jobs.

We were lucky to have a visit from Stevey’s Mum. She talked about being an events organiser and we had a go at planning and promoting our own events.

We then had a visit from a local optician Rebecca. She explained what an optician does, the different parts of the eye and how she became an optician.

We also thought about what our dream job would be and we drew ourselves as our dream jobs.

Lastly, we had a visit from Yvonne an Occupational Therapist. She explained what her job is and how she helps people to do everyday jobs so they can be independent.

Overall, we had a great week thinking about jobs! 

Our class assembly will take place on the 25th March 2026 @ 11am.

There has been a problem with Bug Club homework books showing up in the class accounts. I have sorted this problem and have re-allocated the homework books. Any books in the Bug Club ‘My Work’ section are homework books that need to be completed. 

Some children might have books they have read before. This is not a mistake, this is an opportunity for them to up level their answers as there were a few mistakes.

Sorry for any confusion caused!

Reminder that our Nativity performance will be on the 17th Dec 2025. Please see the school app for more info.

Today we practised spelling our words by making Christmas light decorations. We spelt out our common words by putting each letter on a lightbulb and then we stuck them on to a piece of string to make them look like string lights. We thought they were so good we put them up on our classroom window!

 

We’ve had lots of wider achievement medals/certificates over the past few weeks. Here are some pics of our latest achievers. Well done everyone!

Our Christmas Party is on Friday 5th Dec. Pupils should come to school wearing their party clothes. 

Christmas Lunch is also on that day!
