Today we took part in the Restart a Heart live lesson which taught us about CPR. We learnt all about when CPR is used and how to do CPR properly. It told us about the acronym DR ABC and what each letter stands for, how to position our hands to deliver CPR and where on the chest we should administer CPR. It also showed us how to use a defibrillator. We had a go at practising CPR on our jackets. This key skill could help us save a life!
Ask us if we can remember what DR ABC stands for and to show you how to do CPR properly.
Bug Club homework books will be posted on a Thursday each week.
It is hugely important that reading is done at home as well as school. Bug Club homework books will be monitored weekly. However, reading for enjoyment is also encouraged! Reading improves literacy skills such as comprehension, spelling and promotes imagination. If homework books haven’t been completed for 2 weeks, a letter will be sent home. If you need any support with Bug Club please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

We had a look at some of our rights from the UNCRC. We discussed what we would do as rights holders and what the adults would do as duty bearers to promote the rights. We made a class charter following our school mascot theme of pirates. We drew ourselves as pirates and used them to sign our charter.
