Spooky Science! 👻
We were lucky enough to team up with P5R to do some spooky science experiments. We first used static electricity to make ghosts fly. We then made oobleck- which is a solid and a liquid. Finally the main event was making exploding Frankenstein’s using vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. Here are some pictures of us experimenting!
Sukkot Celebrations
We have been learning about the Jewish celebration of Sukkot. We talked about why it is celebrated and what people do to celebrate. Please ask us all about it! We then made our own Sukkah huts using old shoe boxes and leaves. Here we are in action:
Bonfire Safety 🚒
We were lucky to receive a visit from 2 fire fighters to talk to us about bonfire night safety as well as general fire safety. We got to ask them questions about Cumnock fire station and we even got to see the fire engine.

Restart a Heart ❤️
Today we took part in the Restart a Heart live lesson which taught us about CPR. We learnt all about when CPR is used and how to do CPR properly. It told us about the acronym DR ABC and what each letter stands for, how to position our hands to deliver CPR and where on the chest we should administer CPR. It also showed us how to use a defibrillator. We had a go at practising CPR on our jackets. This key skill could help us save a life!
Ask us if we can remember what DR ABC stands for and to show you how to do CPR properly.
