Cashless Catering System
Dear parent / carer
From Monday 10th March we are introducing a new Cashless Catering system in your child’s school.
Catering Services recognised that it was time to update their cashless payment system. They researched and engaged with companies to find a system that is straightforward and easy for you to use. They have also ensured that the system utilises the latest technology available.
A video has been prepared to help you book a school meal for the first time – How to book a meal – ParentPay (wistia.com)
Meals will continue to be ordered through ParentPay.
You will log in to ParentPay and select school meals. Then all you have to do is check the menus, select a meal for your child then they collect it at lunchtime as normal.
ParentPay knows if your child qualifies for a free school meal so you can order with the knowledge that no payment is required. If your child pays for their school meal, you will have to make payment within two hours of the meal being ordered.
Meals must be ordered by 8am and can be ordered up to three weeks in advance. You can make your first meal booking from the evening of Friday 7th March.
Please note that any existing meal bookings, from Monday, 10th March will need to be rebooked.
Additional allergen and dietary information:
The new system will also have improved allergy and dietary management, so you can be confident that special dietary requirements are observed. Make sure this information is up to date by contacting your school.
If you have provided current dietary information for your child, this will be updated on the new system and will block any meal choices that contain approved allergens.
The system is also a useful information tool for parents and carers in displaying allergen information linked to each online menu item this includes all information for pupils following religious and lifestyle diets.

Dinnae Forget Your Caddy!
Dinnae forget your Caddy!
Help us fight Climate Change and be in with the chance of winning a £50 East Ayrshire gift card.
A whopping 69% of food waste in East Ayrshire is not being recycled.
To encourage more people to recycle their food waste, the Sustainability & Climate Change Team has launched a new recycling at home campaign – Dinnae forget your Caddy!
The campaign was successfully rolled out last year in schools and Early Childhood Centres across East Ayrshire but now the team need your help to raise Community Caddy Counts.
Support the campaign by naming your caddy (Caddy McCaddyface is absolutely acceptable) and register the name online
Write the name in permanent marker on your caddy, then all you have to do is present your caddy each week to be entered into the ‘Favourite Caddy of the Month’ draw.
The monthly draw will run from November through to May, and the recycling crews will select one ‘named’ caddy at random to win a £50 East Ayrshire gift card.
You could also encourage your neighbours, family and friends to take part in the campaign and make it a bit competitive. Let us know if you encourage anyone to start recycling.
P3/4 and P6/7 children have named their food caddy and it is in their school bag. Please register on the link above.
Thank you.
