P6 Trip – Danger Detectives

Our P6 pupils will be embarking on a mission to Dean Castle Country Park on Tuesday 14th May to be Danger Detectives.

Parents are reminded to return consent forms to the school as soon as possible.

As the pupils will be out of school all day, a packed lunch will be required. Should you wish to order an East Ayrshire provided school lunch, please place your order via ParentPay by no later than 8am on Monday 13th May. Please do not place an order on ParentPay if your child is bringing a packed lunch along from home.

As the weather is so variable, it would be advisable to bring along a waterproof jacket and suitable waterproof footwear, as well as sunscreen. Who knows what surprises the weather may bring.

Vibrant Communities – Sports Survey

Vibrant Communities are carrying out a sport and physical activity consultation across East Ayrshire.

This is a good chance for you and your children say what you already do, what you like to do, and barriers to participating in sport in the area.

If you could please spend 5 minutes with your child to fill in the survey that would be much appreciated!

The survey can be accessed via this link:

Thanks

Much appreciated!

Earth Day 2024

Today is Earth Day. At Assembly last week, we found out about the reasons behind  Earth Day  and what we can do to protect our planet.🌍

The children came up with a wide variety of ideas to protect the Earth, including:

Switching off lights  and  electrical items when they are not needed

Recycling ♻️

Using  Food Waste caddies

Eating a vegetarian  meal today

Doing a litter pick

Turning off the tap while we brush our teeth💧

We hope that  you find  these helpful if you are joining in with Earth Day at home.
