Join us for our Community Open Night at our boxing club, welcoming primary school children and parents to come along, get active, and experience boxing in a fun and supportive environment.

Well done to our Primary 6 and Primary 7 pupils who participated in the first heat of the Sportshall Athletics on Friday at the Robert Burns Academy. We are awaiting completion of the heats to see if we have progressed to the next round. Great effort from all!
As part of our Primary 7 transition work with Robert Burns Academy, all Primary 7 pupils will be working on an online profile through Skills Development Scotland. This will involve pupils creating a secure online profile through their Glow email to track their achievements both in and out of school. These profiles can then be shared with staff at RBA securely.
All work will be completed in school, however should you wish your child not take part in this, please contact the school before Friday 30th January, when the first session will take place.
Please find attached a copy of the Programme of activities for the P7 Residential trip to Inverclyde, along with a sample menu for the week. Accommodations can be made with advanced notice to ensure all children attending receive a comfortable experience.
A Parent Information session will be held on Thursday 19th February at 5:00pm in the school, with Gareth Turner from Inverclyde available to answer any questions.
All deposits should be paid by Friday 16th January to payment to Inverclyde to be made.

As we get back into the new term we want to encourage pupils and parents to make use of the online reading scheme. This decodable scheme gives pupils practise reading themselves using the sounds and phonemes they already have, this might be at an easier level than the teaching phonemes and the texts utilised in class. P1 + P7 dental inspection will take place on Wednesday 11th February. An information letter from NHS Ayrshire & Arran is in your child’s school bag today. If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school.

You must complete the online P7 transfer application at http://eastayrshi.re/p7transfer no later than Friday 12 December 2025 to ensure your child is allocated a place within their secondary school.

Reading our eBooks on mobile devices requires some adjustments depending on what browser is being used.
We always advise using Chrome as the main browser to access and read resources without any issues. If there are any parents/children who are using iPads and their main browser is Safari, they must ensure that the mobile site version is enabled. For all Samsung device users – we advise downloading Chrome and use it as their main browsers, as Boost Learning is not compatible with Samsung internet browser.
