Primary 7’s who are taking part in “Cook Together Eat Together” will be coming home with an invitation for one adult per pupil to take part in the activity.
This activity is on Thursday 18th September – remember to check your child’s bag for your invitation!
Classes will have P.E on the following days this term-

Where possible, please provide your child with a suitable change of footwear, as well as gym shorts or leggings. Please remember no football strips should be worn. It is also helpful if jewellery is removed prior to the school day.
We are delighted to be all back together for session 25/26 and to welcome our new P1 pupils. We also welcome our new teachers Mrs Agnew and Miss Murray .
We are looking forward to sharing lots of wonderful learning with you over the next weeks so make sure you stay tuned to our app and the blogs and we hope to see you in the school soon.
After successful interviews last week, we are now able to share the class structure and teachers for next session.
We have been able to keep the year groups together and follow the structures from this year, with the exception of next year’s P6 pupils.
The class structure will be as follows:
P1/2 Mrs Kane
P3/4 Mrs Meek and Mrs Tweedly
P5/6 Mrs Rooney and Newly Qualified Teacher ( still to be announced)
P6/7 Mrs Agnew
We have split the new P6’s in accordance with East Ayrshire’s guidance on composite classes and will share this with parents individually . Please be assured that our monitoring of planning teaching and learning procedures will ensure that all P6 pupils continue to work at the appropriate level and have the same opportunities. A range of activities will also take place that bring the year group together and children will be able to socialise in the playground.
We are looking forward to our new session and welcoming our new probationer and Mrs Agnew to the school . We will also be seeking a new DHT for next session as Mrs Lockie retires at the summer.
We would also like to take this time to thank Mrs Phillips, Mr Holland and Mrs Lockie for their hard work and commitment to Ochiltree Primary School and wish them well in their future endeavours.

It has been a month since we launched our new reading scheme for P1-4 and in class things are progressing well.
We can see that some families are not regularly accessing the scheme at home and may be experiencing issues.
If that is the case, it might be for a variety of reasons but we are here to help!
We are available to support access with a drop in on the 6th of June: bring your device along or alternatively give us a call.
From log in issues to connectivity we will do our best to help you get on board. We will also be making resources available over the summer to support your P1-4 children so now is the time to get things set up.
