New Routines

As part of nurture this year we are aiming to create consistency. We have introduced a toast and social time first thing in the morning before we complete our morning starter job to practice some important skills. For example, ordering days of the week, completing the alphabet and forming our numbers.

Fantastic Numeracy

Miss W, Mrs MCc and Mrs D are super impressed with our Place Value knowledge. We have been working hard at number formations, partitioning and ordering numbers.

Epic Reading

We enjoyed some reading for pleasure through the Epic reading programme. Pupils have had books read to them and are able to read books that have been chosen by Miss W and books of their choosing.

The Importance of Regulation

Regulation strategies are embedded into our timetable throughout the week. We have themes for each day and some play resources that we have out each day. Here are a few of our favourites below:

Dean Park Outdoor Provision

We’re Back!

We have had a successful few trips back to the Dean Park to work with the Park Rangers and Sarah.

We started by investigating around the park for signs of Autumn coming and became Worm Detectives by creating vibrations that brought the worms to the surface. We are able to carefully study their shapes, sizes and if they were male or female. Some of us were super brave and held a few. We then returned them to a safe place in the park.
